Couch Family

Eric and Catherine Couch live in Dallas, TX. They have been married for over 19 years and have two incredible children. After taking-in and caring for Eric’s dad for four years as he suffered through Alzheimer’s, they have seen, experienced and walked through the difficulty of what NOT planning for retirement brings.  They are determined to find products, plans and solutions that can protect you and your client’s quality of life, allowing them to leave a legacy for loved ones.  Eric and Catherine are driven to give you the resources needed to protect your client’s future and family legacy.

V. Eric Couch, CEO

Known for being an expert in the industry, Eric Couch is an award-winning speaker who has spoken at Harvard Club of Boston, MIT, NASDAQ, he has shared the stage with Michael Gerber (author of E-Myth Revisited) at Carnegie Hall, as well as been interviewed on radio and television with Fox Business, ABC and many more. Eric lives in Dallas with his wife Catherine and their two teenagers. He is a classically trained lyric baritone and has sung all over the world, including Carnegie Hall numerous times with various choirs. Most recently Eric has sung with the Dallas Symphony Chorus. You may be able to talk him into singing Happy Birthday in Italian – if you ask him very nicely!

Eric graduated Summa Cum Laude from Dallas Baptist University with a degree in Music Education (focus on vocal performance and conducting).   Many ask why he pursued a music education degree and doesn’t use it.  Eric’s response is always, “I perform and educate every day.  The only difference is now I focus on their financial well-being.” .

In 1998, he was introduced to insurance when he began doing telemarketing to insurance agents.  In 2001, Eric began marketing annuities and made a name for himself as the “Annuity Nerd” searching out the specimen contracts and finding the niche uses of each product.  Over the next 7 years, he grew that division 50-100% annually.

In May of 2012, Eric started ProVision Brokerage, LLC.  It was a dream to make a difference and the desire to continue building lifelong relationships that pushed him to make the jump.  His firm has been in the black from day one and actually made a profit its first month thanks to the support, encouragement and production of many financial advisors.  Through the years ProVision Brokerage has continued to expand through expert knowledge as well as integrity as we strive to help others with solutions to life’s financial questions.

Eric and Catherine are active members at Watermark Community Church and serve together in a marriage ministry called Re|Engage which helps strengthen and equip marriages.

Catherine ImageCatherine Couch, President

Catherine is a licensed agent, has grown up in the insurance brokerage industry, and is second generation. She “unofficially” started working in the family biz at the age of 5 by putting together application packets and making copies for a whopping $.25/hour so that she could get a soda. In 1996,  she “officially” began working with the family and started out as a marketing admin and case manager for her parent’s brokerage agency. She graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a Marketing Communications degree in 2003. While her kids were young, she took a break from the insurance industry and was the office manager, development assistant and special event coordinator at Grace Academy of Dallas. In addition, she was also a wedding planner from 2001-2015, and has run her own Christmas decorating company from 1995 – to now. Catherine returned to the insurance industry when her husband (Eric) started ProVision Brokerage in 2012, and has split her time between helping Eric and caring for his father who had Alzheimer’s plus their two kids. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, reading lots of books, binge-watching Netflix, and working in the great outdoors.
